xampp windows firewall

Hi all,

I'm new to xampp and will be using it to develop and test website/cms locally.

Anyway I've been trying to find some information, I have the light version as I only need apache and mysql...

Can I enable apache and mysql while connected to the internet? I noticed when I first stared the two modules
window firewall popped asking to allow or block, what do i do? I canceled the firewall and can see the xampp
start page so its working and apache and mysql aren't exceptions in the firewall. Will the make me vulnerable
while connected to the internet? just curious?

Thanks :)

You need to configure your XAMPP to only be accessed from localhost.
