Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has had or heard of this before. I have an older version of xampp running on vista. Last night I decided to update xampp.
Now when I try to connect to mySql is says something like access denied to root password no. I figured the default password may have changed from nothing to something so I rad the resetpassword bat file but still no luck.
Im now starting to thing that its not the username and password is the issue but rather mySql itself.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I meant that my initial thought was that the password had changed. Before I had just left it blank, I thought that maybe the newer version of xampp had a default password set.

No.

How have you done this?
(BTW: You can use the MySQL command line client to verify the connection/login)
