Hello, i have a question, when you install xampp in vista, ¿is there any tutorial to test mysql?

Related whith this , i have another question, the readme file says that you can open the mysql server opening the mysql_start.bat, but i can't find that archive, ¿where is it?

Post 1: What do you mean with "test". Either MySQL is running or not. What do you want to do? You can test by connecting to the server, then you know it.

Post 2: the mysql_start.bat is in the xampp directory. Alternatively you can start MySQL with the Control Panel (xampp-control.exe also in the xampp directory).

I have found the mysql_start.bat but there is a problem:

mysql is trying to start

Mysql is starting with mysql\bin\my.cnf <console>

InnoDB: this might be a backup or antivirus software or another instance
InnoDb:of Mysql. Please close it to get rid of this error.

My so is windows vista home premium, the avira antivir is not working, and i don't know what is hapening.
The xampp version is the lastest 1.6.8 for win 32.

Hi, when I clicked the installer buttton after it had downloaded for a few minutes I got this message, what does it mean?:

C:\Users\Muffin\Downloads\xampp-win32-1.6.8-installer(2).exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.
