db_create.php: Missing parameter: new_db (FAQ 2.8)

I am trying to install Joomla on my computer and I install XAMPP firsted. It seemed to install correctly. However, when I tried to create a new database in phpMyAdmin i got this error message "db_create.php: Missing parameter: new_db (FAQ 2.". Please help. Thanks.

Here are two ways that work for me:

1. Use the IP address @ your local network, e.g. 192.168.X.X, instead of 127.0.0.1 or localhost to the URL: http://yourhostname/phpmyadmin

2. Go to your /xampplite/mysql/data directory, create a new folder for your new database.
