php.ini per domain

I'm a php developer but don't have much system knowledge.
We are running xampp on a Windows Server with many virtual hosts.
1)
I would like to personalize some php.ini session parameters for only one specific website.
How can I achieve this?
2)
In particular, I'm supposed to increase session.gc_maxlifetime to 6 hours: may this cause some performance or security problems to my machine?
