I'd like to install xamp on my xp machine for php development. I'm concerned about conflicts with iis. local host uses iis. So what do i need to do to able to use both environments simultaneously for asp and php using xamp?

You must change the ports of one of the two webservers are just start one of them at the same time.

for asp and php using xamp?

But if you have allready a working IIS, it also possible to use PHP with IIS (PHP is working with every webserver).
