Moving the MySQL Data

Postby PC_Nerd » 20. September 2008 13:56

Hi,

I've just spent the day reformatting my computer, partitioning, and reinstalling windows (XP), ubuntu(8.04) and fedora(9). Ive also setup a 30GB ntfs partition for my data, so that all OS's can read/write to it.

Now if I have my XAMPP installation in windows, at C:\xampp, and my data drive is D:\ - how can i move the mysql databases to be stored on the D:\ ?
** I can easily move the htdocs folder using the config files.

Thanks

Thanks,

That should sort it .. Ill have a play around with setting up some data and seeing if i can get my 3 installations to access it properly.

Ill let you know if ive got any issues with it - but i think that shoudl solve my question.

yippee - i love xampp!
