Hi , can i install xampp on an external drive ?
And how do i do that?..i mean...do i have to do additional things to get it working?

Second question...
I had to do a new OS install on my new drive....
the xampp isnt lost but i made a backup...
But i did forgot to make a backup of the mysql databases..
can i fix that by putting back the mysql/data files in the new install ?

Just download the zip version of Xampp, unzip it to the correct place (a USB drive in my case) and you have a server with not much on it. Copy your backed-up files to their matching places and you have an up-to-date server with your stuff on it.
