Problems securing Xampp

Postby solouncapitano » 28. August 2008 14:24

Hi all,
I've installed latest Xampp version (1.6.7) on Windows Server 2003 SP2; it will be used with Joomla to setup the company intranet.

I did follow setp by step all instructions but I'm figuring security out problems.

1) http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
I can access it with root account without any password.

2) http://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php
I've access the above page to setup the password and security for point 1 but I always get the following "mismatched" screen:

3) When I access http://localhost/security/ I've got the following:

I've searched the forum but I did not find anything could help me.
What do you think I should check and control to fix the above ?

Thanks.

That really looks weird. Take a look into the access.log and error.log files in xampp\apache\logs. Maybe you will find an answer there.

Do you run it on a 32 or 64bit Windows?
