Error setting XAMPP Security settings

Postby AKidwaDream » 01. August 2008 22:20

I was getting ready to launch my 1st site (after 2 weeks of painful installation issues on Joomla),
so about an hour ago I when in my Xampp area, and saw a message on the bottom that said I had security holes and should fix them.
So I went into phpMyAdmin, and made a password within the "root" area,
Which went FINE i guess.

Below that area I saw the - XAMPP DIRECTORY PROTECTION (.htaccess) was empty.
So I made a user name & password for that, because i thought that was the right thing to do.

That must have been a big mistake beacuse now I can't get into anything!
How can I fix this! I'm pulling out my hair over here.
Jarrell the noob-

my computer has Vista, (the secuity is disabled) not sure if that matters.
