Hi there,

Can anyone tell me if it's possible and if so how to point to a custom htdocs directory in XAMPP?

Cheers in advance,

Silas

You have to edit the httpd.conf file and change the "DocumentRoot" directive. You can point this to any folder you wish. Make sure that you restart the Apache server after making any changes to this file, otherwise they won't take effect.

I didn't think so, I've done it before without editing that file. There is nothing in the php.ini file that has to do with the web root to my knowledge.

change :
DocumentRoot "F:/xampp/xampp/htdocs"

to
DocumentRoot "C:/htdocs" or DocumentRoot "C:/wwwroot"

Right Dan?
