Apache could not be started

Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Apache could not be started

I just downloaded the zip and extracted it and followed the instructions in the readme file exactly but when I start apache it doesn't work. mysql and filezilla have no problem.

here is the error I get with apache.

Stop the server which is allready running on port 80 and you can start XAMPP/Apache.

I've stopped everything but apache still doesn't start.

I'll reboot and try again.
