I have my XAMPP pannel thanks to Nobbie. I might have other problems their. I tries to follow the Joomla 1.5 Quick Start Guide in adobe Reader I have created a folder named joomla 15 in the htdocs folder at C:/XAMPP and have down loaded the Latest 1.5 from www.joomla.org(1.5 RC 4)
Joomla-15RC4zip and un zipped in in C:|XAMPP\htdocs\joomla15 file I created when I clicked on the link http://localhost/joomla15 I got the error
Object not found!

I used Explorer and went to C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla 15 and it appeared to be all the joomla files

There is a space between "joomla" and "15"?

Thanks for the help, I've spent a lot of time in other forums looking for help. I am now on the right track.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. This forum is superior to others.
