website will not load?

I have recently tried to copy a website to my htdocs and import the sql file (the site is built in code igniter), however, the main page loads (the browser still says that its only loaded half the page tho in loading bars). when i try to load any other page it times out.

i thought it may be the db but i have removed it and imported table by table and still nothing, therefore i thought it must be apache.

i can't see anything in the error logs.

can anyone suggest anything, or possible try import my site (i can send it too you)? on a really tight deadline and don't want to download and copy all my work then reinstall/ import db's etc

any help much appreciated
