I installed Basic XAMPP Windows 1.6.6a yesterday and it was all ok. But today Apache & MySQL are always running and upon pushing 'Stop' button, it returns error -1 ?!
Any idea what is the problem and how to fix it ?

It happens sometimes. Restarting your computer should take care of the problem.
Also exit the Control Panel when you're done with it.
Don't Stop the service and Start too often, leave a few seconds in between.
Try Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services then Apache or mysql in order to restart them instead of the Control Panel, if it keeps happening.
