Apache Friends Support Forum

I'm currently using 1.6.5 for Windows with no problems. I use it to develop web pages locally before uploading them to the web servers. What would I gain by upgrading? And if I do upgrade, do I need to remove the earlier version first? How stable is the upgrade?

I'm no programming guru, just a casual user.
