I've used xampp for windows and the mercury mail server worked fine. I'm now using xampp for linux and I saw nothing about setting up a mail server so I assumed it used sendmail (or php mail) automatically.

But now I set up a zencart and when I create a user an error message appears saying that the mail server hasn't been set up. Please advise.
