Upgrading to latest version
Posted: 22. April 2008 13:43I am running XAMPP 1.5.3a. If I run the installer for the latest version of XAMPP, will I erase all my current data/settings?

I believe that it is best to use the installer as a fresh installation. Running it on top of a previous installation can cause conflicts/issues.
First rename the xampp directory, so it's not written over. Then run the install exe. Then amend your new v-hosts etc and copy the data from the previous install to the new one.... Roughly speaking.
