CHMOD on windows xp using xampp "problem"

Hello i try to chmod (change file Permissions on my server win xp)

but for some reason i get the message "This server doesn't support changing file permissions." :?

but there was i time i could change the file permissions, is there maby someone who can help me with this problem. :?:

OS: Windows XP Pro
WEBSERVER: Xampp

it was possible but after a hardware error i reinstall the windows xp pro and reinstall xampp and i couln't change the permissions

No. Windows have no CHMOD and so you can't CHMOD with FTP. (CHMOD is a system command on *nix)

and i couln't change the permissions

Well, so there is one question:
Why wan't you change something with CHMOD. (Normal file attributes you can set in Explorer)

i guess you mean with *nix linux distrubution

i never had xampp on linux never used linux as server

always used same XP and i could change permissions so.
and now i cant do it anymore

and if i wanna change right of the file now on windows xp how van i do that than pleas help me.
