locally hosted wordpress/xampplite question

Hi,

I'm using xampplite 1.6.5 on windows xp home sp2 to power wordpress 2.3.

It's been working fine for a while, but recently, whenever I try to create a new page, the following error occurs:

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in C:\xampplite\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\taxonomy.php on line 1014

Can anyone tell me what's going wrong, and how to fix it, please?
