Not able to download XAMPP 1.6.6a from SourceForge

The SourceForge download does not work and the .zip does not install PHP
the there is a missing install file! I have reverted to 1.6.3 which works great.

That is how one gets to SourceForge with the bad downloads!!

I never tried the bloated zip files - the 7z selfextracting exe worked for me.

But agreed : if a .zip is offered it should work.

This is the only place I found for support or to report this so hopefully someone from xampp will read this and upload files that work.
I had a older version that I was most impressed with how wonderfully it worked and never had a problem with it.

So I hope it gets fixed but I am moving on have everything I need.
