blue screen

I recently installed xampp perfect not a bother ran perfectly. I then decided to install eset nod32 and got over the issue of localhost, no problems.I ran a few scripts perfect. I then switched of my machine and when i restarted my machine later as soon as i ran the apache server i recieved the dreaded bsod(blue screen of death). I uninstalled nod32 still problem with bsod but have now reinstalled xampp seems to be ok.
any thoughts
