Hallo!
please excuse the context being in English.

I have just rejoined and am bringing the following issue.

I am not an IT-person but I write and for my writing projects I need apache XAMPP.

I have installed and am having problems with getting the server operational.

1. first attempt:

entered - http://localhost
auto-extended by the system to - http://localhost/xampp/

The system produced this resultant message:

Warning: file_get_contents(lang.tmp) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Q:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\index.php on line 2

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at Q:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\index.php:2) in Q:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\index.php on line 4

2. second attempt:

entering: http://localhost/security/

resulted in:

Warning: file_get_contents(lang.tmp) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Q:\xampp\security\htdocs\index.php on line 2

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at Q:\xampp\security\htdocs\index.php:2) in Q:\xampp\security\htdocs\index.php on line 3

Can anyone interpret from the above what I might have done wrong and indicate how I might correct the problem? Or should I uninstall and re-install.

Thanks for any help. Regards, Patrick Forkin.
