How do I upgrade from version 1.4.12 to 1.6.6a?

I read the forums and found that I need to install every single updater. But on the SourceForge download page I can only find upfaters going back to 1.5.3 - 1.5.4. How do I update version previous to this?

Can I install the latest full version over the 1.4.12 version and update the config files?

Which files do I need to update or which files do I need to save from the old configuration? (excluding htdocs files)

Thanks for replying. I guess I'll have to do it this way. I'll work it out. (and keep it updated from now on!)
