Hi, I am very new to all of this... I am using Windows Vista as operating system. I installed XAMPP control on my computer in order to build my website. I am trying to start the mySQL, but it stops all the time. I tryied to uninstall the XAMPP and could not completely delete the folder after uninstalling (it said that the installer could not remove XAMPP folder). So I tryied to install it again even though I did not completely remove it. Any ideas of how I can completely remove the folder or just fix the situation without having to uninstall and reinstall it again?

Thanks for the reply. i ran the portcheck and indeed there are ports that are blocked. how do i free those up for the program to run?
