Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I've just downloaded Xampp and it installed smoothly without errors.
The problem is that I did a simple PHP script and saved it in the httpdoc folder as test.php but when I open it, none of the PHP code shows, HTML does but not PHP. I tried some of the other PHP files in the /httpdoc/xampp folder and none of them work they all show the coding and varibles and dont function properly.. How can I get PHP functioning?

This does not work with PHP files. You must open PHP files in a webbrowser with "http://servename/filename.extension".
