Email from XAMPP for windows server (using Mercury)

Hi All,

Large apologies for my ignorance, I am new to the whole PHP and Xammp world.

I am trying to setup a server so IO can send emails from a webpage.

I have followed the instructions here,

I would like the emails to be relayed to our main mail server on our lan (running exchange)

I have followed the instructions in the link above and the Mercury client can send mail which is delivered correctly, however when I telnet into the mercury smtp i get as far as the rcpt to: command then get the following error,
"Invalid RFC821 mailbox specification"
This obviously causes the mail from the webpage to fail too.

Does anyone have any ideas what I have done wrong here, alternatively, how do others relay mail to a central server? Am i mising something simple?
