How do I disable IIS so Apache will start?

Postby sunshine99 » 09. January 2008 02:51

Hi, I bought a used computer and it has IIS running on it. How do I disable so I can start Apache?

I tried to right click on the default web site in iis and click stop, but apache still wouldn't start. Do I need to do something else?

Thanks

Hello and welcome sunshine99.

Have you tried stopping the "IIS Admin Service"? That's via Settings/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services and right click - stop.

Do you also have MS SQL running? I believe that would cause issues with MySQL, though I've only read about such.
