Help with .htaccess

Is there a way I can use like .htaccess or something like that to stop anyone besides myself from viewing the phpmyadmin dir on the webserver?

yes you can just search for .htaccess in google they should help u find a good tutorial. however if your phpmyadmin is outside your htdocs (web root) then i dont know i tried .htaccess in a mapped dir like that before and it didnt work so i put the dir under the webroot and it worked. good luck.
