apache problem

Postby terry » 06. January 2008 14:13

I've had Xampp running on my machine for some time and all was okay.
Even with Dreamweaver.
Now find Apache will not run. Have not changed any settings Did find that Skype was running on the same port (80) but have now uninstall Skype .A port check tells me that port 80 is now free but still Apache will not run.
Can anyone help please.

Have resolved my problem by uninstalling the Apache service and reinstalling. All works fine now . Thought this might help any other novices if they get the same trouble.

I had a similar problem as well.

I opened the xampp control panel and tried to start up apache. But it would not start.

I ran the file xampp-portcheck.exe in the xampp folder and found out the MySpace Instant Messenger was running on port 80.

I shut down the MySpace IM and was able to start up apache.
