Need help

Postby MIKEMAN » 04. January 2008 23:04

Hello,

I have recently installed the latest version of Xampp and I am having problems trying to make my site "go live".

Localhost (127.0.0.1) works perfect, but as soon as I try to access my site from a different network I get page not found.

The only configuration changes I made after install was to put my Document Root and Directory to "C:/web" (I manually made the "web" folder and edited httpd.conf)

I am using no-ip.com. My domain is <mysite>.no-ip.org. I know that this service is working because I have a ventrilo server that is working good.

Now... I figured that this must be a port issue because localhost works and my domain works with ventrilo, but I have double checked everything.

- router is forwarding port 80
- windows firewall is disabled
- apache reports listening to port 80

I have also temp put the server in DMZ to see if it was a port issue and even in DMZ I get page cannot be displayed.

I checked the error log and everything seems to be starting without errors.

Can anyone offer advice?

Thanks

Mike
