Have a look in the install
directory and you can clearly see that install.php
does not exists, so why are you still typing that address in your browser - you will get the same error 404 until the cows come home.http://localhost/phpbb/install/index.php
is correct as I pointed out in a previous post.
You should also be able to just type:http://localhost/phpbb/install
BTW try restarting Apache to get the error.log to show.
neither did I say refresh the control panel - I said restart Apache which means stop and then restart Apache.
