Perl and XAMPP

Is there any information on when Perl will be working in the latest release of XAMPP for WIndows?

Try using the zip instead of the installer

Perhaps you might want to read this page including the item in red at the Add-ons section for some info on what the OP was talking about.

MOD_PERL Warning: With the new source, the Apache 2.2.6 does not function with mod_perl (win32). Seems the apache httpd team know that problem and will fix it in the next apache release. Note also: Mod_JK (Tomcat 6.0.13 Addon) functions without problems.

The OP said Perl and not Mod_Perl. I thought when I first read the post that s/he was talking about Mod_Perl, but then I had trouble with the perl installer (I forget the error msg, sorry, but it came up right away) and used the zip instead. Mod_Perl is not necessary for cgi perl to work.
