port 80

Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Forget the sc delete it is now clear from the port check was is coursing the 443 error.

Go to xampp\apache\conf\extra\httpd-ssl.conf and find this:
Listen 443

Change to
Listen 4430

There is another 2 instances in this file that refer to port 443 that need to be changed to 4430 also.

Save and have another go.

Is this normal that it still appears "Apache Started [port 80]"?

Where do you see that?

What do you see now that all is working when you go to:
http://localhost:8080/xampp/status.php

Do all the demos work in the left menu of the XAMPP Welcome Page?

http://localhost:8080/xampp/status.php


everything is working fine.


2 more questions:
Q1: Image

what password is it refer to? how can I change it ?

Q2: how can I change the username and password of mysql which is original is root?
