Apache Friends Support Forum

Hi all. I am new here and I installed xampp and is working very fine.
My only issue is that apache is requesting internet access (I have zone alarm). I always allow this at home but I have to go to see a client and I am sure the internet access will not work, so I tested without allowing this internet access. Well, MySql is not working at all. Cannot connect to data base.

I had to reboot the laptop and once granted the apache internet access everything is working.

Any ideas?

Zone Alarm and XAMPP (but not limited to XAMPP) have many issues.

The Comodo firewall might be worth a look see for an alternative:

Also try a search in Forum XAMPP for Windows, Category Apache Friends in English for zone alarm or zone or alarm or zonealarm and see what else comes up.
