installation of perl addon

I would like to install Perl Addon 5.8.8 on window. I have already installed XAMPP 1.6.4. However it still said 'Apache Version 2.2.4 not found!Need XAMPP version 1.6.' My XAMPP dirctory is f:\xampp. Please advise.
