I am sure this has been covered before but I can't find the answer.

I have an Xp laptop with wifi with the webserver up and running fine.

I bought a new desktop, connected it via cable to my router, set up a network using the windows home office wizard, and I can see shared folders on both machines via 'my network places'

But i cannot see the web server on the laptop from the desktop - i tried http://127.0.0.1 - but got nothing.

I am sure it is an issue with the network - but I do ont understand what I need to do to fix it.

can anyone help?

Richard

"127.0.0.1" or "localhost" is allways the own pc and not any other. You must use the LAN-IP or Hostname for the connection.

thanks
