Upgrade to PHP 5.2 without upgrading to MySQL 5?

Hi, I use XAMPP locally for development, and want to update my older version of XAMPP to be able to switch between PHP 4 and PHP 5.2 - but I want to keep MySQL 4. I won't be using MySQL 5 in an online environment for some time and much of the software I use is not MySQL 5 compliant.

So ....how can I upgrade PHP without installing a new version of XAMPP with MySQL 5?
