Hi I have been using your xammp package for years now and absolutely love it! I have been running it solely for my own use as a host for my own website. I now need help in adding others on as I now have a few friends wanting to have a website hosted for them. So what I need is to know how to add them so they can build there own site while I host it for them and also need my system aswell as their sites to be secure. Any ideas? Keep up the great work, and I hope you guys/gals never ever leave this project. 2 thumbs up!! :D :D

You need to check out this file
xampp\apache\conf\extra\httpd-vhosts.conf

For your friends to upload their files to their hosting account you will need to set up the FileZilla Server.

There are also some freeware hosting control panels that might come in handy and a Google might find them for you.

Also take a look at the Security page accessible from the XAMPP Welcome Page.

Also some reading here:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.3/vhosts/

and here:

When you feel you have a grasp of virtual hosting and you have had a go at setting one up, then, if you have any issues, first search these forums as most of your questions will have been answered before, then post any questions you might have.

This is a self help forum and your questions will surely be answered by the many experienced and competent forum members who visit here regularly.

The DeskTopXampp launch control for XAMPP and XAMPPlite (DTX.exe)

I highly recommend DTX.
