Fatal error: Call to undefined function cpdf_open()

hello,
I'm new to this forum and new to the xampp program. I cannot get any pdf to open. I get this error "Fatal error: Call to undefined function cpdf_open()" no matter what I put in the (). I checked my php.ini and the php_pdf.dll is uncommented. I don't know if there is any other extensions to check.

I copied the scripts off
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.cpdf.php
to make sure the script is sound. I get that error on all three scripts listed. please help. I'm at my wits end.

I know the pdf generator works, cause the get pdf link works from the xampp config page under the cd collection demo link.
