Reset Password

HI. I add a password so when you go to login localhost/index.php a window comes up asking for a password. I used to be able to login but for some reason its not letting me. If I go to the xampp folder then security there is a file called xampp. I opened it with note pad and I can see the password which I have been using but it not letting me in. Is there a way to reset the passords without having to unistall the program then reinstall it
