XAMPP DB in a VB.Net compatible file

Hey

I'm developing a project were the db was created using XAMPP.
Now I was trying to use the same db to be manipulated with a program that I'm developing in VB.Net.

My problem is that VB.Net does not recognize the format of the db. I tried to find a way of converting the db to a compatible format, but I'm having no luck!

Can someone give me any help on this matter?!?
