New installation

I have installed the new version of xampp on my local machine and now I am unable to access my website, The problem is I have SEO friendly mod installed, when I build a new site without this mod all is OK. This is stopping me from testing any changes I wish to make to my store.
Was ok under older version of xampp. problem is I can't find an older version
Running XP Pro with Xampp 1.62
Cubecart 3.16
