Apache intercepting Windows network browsing

I'm getting a really weird problem where Apache is intercepting the requests to browse my PC using Windows Networking.
Basically, whenever I try to go to \\mymachine\c$ the Apache process pops up a firewall alert (I'm using Sunbelt Personal Firewall) asking if I should allow access. If I allow the connections I get a password box that won't let me in. If I deny the connections I get told that the share is inaccessible.
This share used to be accessible before I installed XAMPP. Disabling the Apache process doesn't help, just means the connection times out.
Any ideas?
