trouble with xamppsecurity

Postby tnafele » 29. May 2007 21:42

Hello:

I just installed xampp to run from my e-drive. After the installation was completed, I wanted to edit the security settings via
http://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php
however whenever I go to this page I get the message "forbidden for client 0.0.0.0"
I tried to replace 127.0.0.1 and the name of the computer for localhost, but it still does not work.

I had an xampp installation on the c-drive on this machine before, and I was able to edit the security fine under this setting (might have been an earlier version of xampp though as I did the install on the c-drive about 3 months ago). I needed to move to the e-drive since I ran out of space.

This is a development environment, and I have my firewall configured to only allow access by certain computers on my network. So I might just have to run it without the additional security features enabled. I would rather get it to work though, so if you have an idea, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!
