Installing scripts

Hello, I just got and installed this.
Great software, everything is set up and working except:
when I go to install something (ie phpbb, wordpress mu)
I get the following message:

Installing to http://localhost/ is not supported. Please use http://localhost.localdomain/ instead

localhost.localdomain does not exist...
any help is appreciated. thank you
