Xampp startup errors

Postby pccsq1 » 22. March 2007 00:57

Hi All,

I have just noticed the following errors in my apache error log. It seems to occur whenever I start xampp, and the error is repeated quite a lot:

[Wed Mar 21 12:11:03 2007] [notice] Apache/2.0.55 (Win32) mod_autoindex_color mod_ssl/2.0.55 OpenSSL/0.9.8a PHP/5.0.5 mod_perl/1.999.21 Perl/v5.8.6 configured -- resuming normal operations
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:03 2007] [notice] Server built: Mar 15 2007 10:41:53
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:03 2007] [notice] Parent: Created child process 984
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:04 2007] [notice] Disabled use of AcceptEx() WinSock2 API
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:09 2007] [notice] Child 984: Child process is running
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:09 2007] [notice] Child 984: Acquired the start mutex.
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:09 2007] [notice] Child 984: Starting 250 worker threads.
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:09 2007] [notice] Child 984: Listening on port 443.
[Wed Mar 21 12:11:09 2007] [notice] Child 984: Listening on port 80.

Does anyone know why these errors occur and provide me with some help or advise as to how I can resolve the problems.

Many thanks ...

Hi,

I was under the impresssion only errors are reported in the error log? Well, if there is no error, then why is it logged?

Kind of strange to log stuff in an error log when it is not an error, would you not say?

No:
If I use the blinker in my car, I see a signal. That's not because of an error, it's just a notice.

If I see the oil signal, it's an error (or warning).
