telnet into XAMPP to install .rpm file

Postby robclement » 18. March 2007 16:27

Hi,

I'm trying to install ImageMagick to XAMPP.

I've tried to telnet into XAMPP to give the rpm file the commands to install - but I can't seem to telnet to XAMPP.

I've got XAMPP running perfectly on a Windows 2000 server (has been for a year), but this is the first time I've tried to install anything on it.

I'm using telnet from windows command line, but when I enter "telnet 127.0.0.1 80" the command window just hangs and doesn't show anything.
I've also tried "telnet localhost 80".

Does anyone know how I can install the rpm file or get me straight on how to telnet into XAMPP?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

You should search for a Windows installation docu and not use the *nix installation docu.

Do you mean if I install the Windows version of ImageMajick it will work in conjuction with my XAMPP?

This could be great news!

I thought the Windows version was for .ASP applications and the *nix installation was for PHP - so this is incorrect?

Thanks again!
