Apache services not enabled after setup

During the setup, I put a tick on 'Install Apache as service' however when it's all done and the XAMPP control panel loaded up, the 'Svr' for Apache is not ticked and the Apache service is not running.

Bug?

Using XAMPP v1.6.0a

After installing Apache as service, I closed the control panel and then open it, it had disappeared.

XAMPP 1.6.0a

For me Apache starts up as a service in the Windows Control Panel >>Administrative Tools >> Services. But there is no tick in the Xampp Control Panel, however the Xampp panel shows that the service is running (but no tick as svc).

I also had to set Filezilla FTP Server service as automatic in windows control panel for it to start up on reboot.

Everything works for me now, it's just that the Xampp and Windows control panels seem to be out of sync.

My System: Windows XP Pro SP2, with latest security patches.
