How do you make Xampp more secure ?

Postby gghs » 19. February 2007 21:26

Can some one please advise on how to make the Xampp installation more secure - so that I can use in a company Intranet for example.

The website says this on the subject:

"Here a list of missing security in XAMPP:
The MySQL administrator (root) has no password.
The MySQL daemon is accessible via network.
PhpMyAdmin is accessible via network.
Examples are accessible via network.
The user of Mercury and FileZilla are known.
Please secure XAMPP before publishing anything online. A firewall or an external router are only sufficient for low levels of security. For slightly more security, you can run the "XAMPP Security console" and assign passwords."

What settings need to be configured iun order to "secure Xampp" ?
